5.12 Building a Poker Bankroll Challenge - $1,000 Goal

Congratulations, you have now completed all the learning sections of this course. To complete the course we now want to take you through the final stages in your Poker Challenge of building your bankroll up to $1,000 from an initial stake of $25.

To achieve this we will tackle it in three final stages. This may take a few weeks to achieve for some of you, or it may be achieved much quicker, but if you put the effort in, like you have throughout this course so far, you are very close to having a bankroll of $1,000.

Stage 12 - $220 to $400

During this stage we are going to continue to play at the $0.25 / $0.50 stake level. Ensure that you continue to concentrate and play 100% according to your strategy. Once you are through this stage then you will be within touching distance of the finishing line.

We suggest you attack this stage in 3 sessions. Take regular breaks in your sessions and keep refreshed. If you get tired then finish your session and restart it another time when you are more awake.

Open up your Mansion Poker software (or Pokerstars for US Players) and login to your account, which should now be showing a balance of $220.

Once again you should head for the $0.25 / $0.50 tables with 9 players on a table. Select a table with a good Plrs/Flp percentage and a decent Avg. Pot size and sit down with $50 (100 times the big blind).

Once you have completed the stages above then you have built your total bankroll up to $400! Congratulations you have done most of the hard work now and the finishing line is in sight. You can now move onto Stage 13.

Stage 13 - $400 to $800

Thirteen is an unlucky number for some.... but not for us because we don't rely on luck anymore - we play on the right side of the odds with our new strategy!

During stage 13 we are going to play at the $0.50 / $1 stake level. As we move up another level there will be a slight increase again in the quality of our opponents, but we are still in good shape with our strategy.

The major difference at this stake level is that your bankroll will now build very fast. If the cards are going right for you then it is not inconceivable that you may hit your target for this stage in a matter of a few hours table play.

Again we suggest you attack this stage in 3 sessions.

Go back to your Mansion Poker software (or Pokerstars for US Players), login to your account, and look for the $0.50 / $1 No Limit tables. Select a table with a good Plrs/Flp percentage and a decent Avg. Pot size and sit down with $100.

Congratulations - Once you have completed stage 13 of the Poker Challenge then you have built your bankroll up to $800 and you are now onto the final lap. You can now move onto the final stage.

Stage 14 - $800 to $1000

During the final stage we are going to play at the $1 / $2 stake level. We are now moving into the more advanced stake levels and this final stage will give you valuable experience at this higher stake level, from which you hopefully will have the confidence to continue at this stake level after this course and continue to increase your stakes levels as you feel comfortable to do so and as your growing bankroll will support.

Now you are moving into the higher stake levels there will be a number of knowledgeable players on these tables mixed in with the rich fish and other fish that are just simply swimming out of their depth!

Go back to your Mansion Poker software (or Pokerstars for US Players), login to your account, and look for the $1 / $2 No Limit tables. Select a table with a good Plrs/Flp percentage and a decent Avg. Pot size and sit down with $200 (100 times the big blind).

At this stake level your bankroll will build even faster than at previous stake levels in stage 12 and 13. However as a word of warning, in the same way your bankroll can build fast it can also drop fast if you stray from your strategy. If you take a bad beat and your bankroll drops a bit, then don't panic, just stick with your strategy and stick to playing Tight - Aggressive and wait for the opportunity to build your bankroll back up. If need be you can always drop back to one of the previous stages until you build you bankroll back up to the level required to compete at the $1 / $2 tables.

Once you have built your bankroll up to $1,000 then congratulations, that really is some achievement from when you started this course with only $20. Your poker game is now good enough to compete with the pro's and you can now setup your home on the Mansion Poker (or Pokerstars for US Players) higher stakes tables. You have earned your right to be there and now have the bankroll and strategy to enable you to compete there on a permanent basis.

You are also eligible to enter our prize draw where we will double the bankroll of the winning player. Only players who have genuinely followed this course and turned their initial stake of $25 into $1,000 qualify to be entered into this draw. Please click here for further details on this.
