5.7 Moving up the Stake Levels
Congratulations on reaching this part of the course. You are nearing the end of the course and so it is time that we again stepped up our efforts to reach our goal of $1,000 from an initial stake of $25. So far you have learnt a solid basic strategy and built upon that with some advanced strategies. You now know the process and tools required to make all your poker decisions.
You should also now have turned your initial $25 stake into a bankroll of $170, which not only has hopefully motivated you but has also given you valuable experience in putting your new found skills into practice. You should now be comfortable enough with your new strategy to take on the next level of this course and complete the goal of achieving a bankroll of $1,000.
If you have not followed the "Poker Challenge" sections then it is strongly recommended that you go back and work your way through them. The people that have followed this course as they should now have the experience and the bankroll which will allow them to attack the higher stakes tables in this next section. They will be the people who at the end of this course will be sitting with a bankroll of $1,000 which will allow them to permanently take their seat at the higher stake tables and more importantly be a profitable poker player at these tables.
In the first part of this course we used Hollywood Poker (Bodog poker for US players) for the low stakes tables, and then in the middle part of the course we have been using Mansion Poker (Poker Stars for US players) for the low-medium stakes tables.
We are going to continue with Mansion Poker (Pokerstars for US players) as both these sites have great medium to higher stakes tables which we are going to work through in this final stage of your $1,000 challenge.
Don't be intimidated moving up to the higher stakes, you should have really formed a solid strategy now and we will take you through each increase step by step. We're here to hold your hand!
