Event #49 - $1,500 No Limit Holdem
With 3,151 entrants and a total prize pool of $4.3m this event was the largest ever field other than the WSOP Main Event in history.
At the start of the final table it was Greg Mueller who was favourite to pick up the bracelet after several other close misses at this years WSOP.
But Mueller was one of the early exits when Taylor Douglas knocked him out in a disappointing 8th place.

With a star studded line up to this big buyin Omaha event the final table was no let down with a number of big names fighting it out for the bracelet.
Included in this line up was Doyle Brunson who was attempting to win his 11th Bracelet and equal the record set by Phil Helmuth earlier in this years WSOP for the record number of bracelets.
It wasn’t to be for the most famous poker player in the world as Brunson was knocked out in 6th place as was other well known poker pro Patrik Antonius who finished 3rd.

Once all the madness of the rebuy period was over and the proper poker could start the field took it’s time to slowly whittle down to the final table of 9 players.
