Women Power in Poker

The game of poker has progressed from live tables to internet poker and now it is turning from men to women.
If we believe the findings of a recent study female poker players are not only increasing in number but also they are winning cash at the tables and in online poker games. A recent study has found that fifty percent of online poker players are women and even the number of women coming to the casino poker rooms is also on the rise.
There only used to be a handful of women poker players a few years ago but today women are increasingly becoming tough competitors for the male poker players. Women are becoming successful players in the poker world and this success has been amply explained in a new book called Women’s Poker Night which was edited by Maryann Morrison of the Woman Poker Player Magazine.
In this book, poker enthusiasts will find contributions by top women poker players such as Barbara Enright and Cyndy Violette. It also features top poker writers like Kathleen Watterson, Amy Calistri, and Jennifer Leo. Dawn Dineen and Jo Ransom are the newcomers in the world of poker who give valuable insight into the game of poker from their perspective.
The editor of the book has brought together a great compilation that shows why women are turning to the game and also why they are becoming as successful as men in the world of poker. The male dominated poker world has taken serious note of the female poker player and they are coming to realize that they do not just have to put up with them but also find ways and strategies to beat them in the game.
The book is not only about women poker players and their successes but also deals with many aspects of the game of poker and some female traits, which male players can learn from and utilize to their advantage. The editor and the contributors have done an excellent job in the book and have brought a new dimension to the world of poker.
