It has always been difficult for campus bound university students to find a poker tournament that satisfies their needs.
However, there is great news for college and university students in the UK and North America, because Life of Sports Inc. has organized the University Poker Championship and qualification for the event has just got underway.
The University Poker Championship will offer two events one held for students in the United Kingdom and one for those in North America. Both of these events are open only for those university and college students who have qualified via one of the free online qualifiers being held.
These events are a good chance for students to test their poker skills and students will also have the chance to play for great prizes with the 1st prize in both UK and U.S events being one-years tuition fees fully paid and a $12,000 package to take part in the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.
U.S students can take part in the free online qualifiers which are taking place on Pokerstars and which have already started. Cake Poker is the online venue for the free qualifiers for UK students.
Weekly Qualifiers have already started so get signed up to Pokerstars now to qualify for the University Poker Championship.
