Default Quick couple of questions.

Hi, I've been following the course as detailed on the website, but as I'm only 15, I'm using the Play Money on PartyPoker.

However, I still keep track of the bankroll, in a similar table to the one on the website.

I played one session of about an hour before my dinner today, as told, I started with $7.50 and played for an hour. In my last hand, I had quite a large win, and my chips went up to $12.36. Should I add these to the bankroll for the start of my next session? or keep a seperate record of this bankroll?

Also, in my first session after dinner, I started with pocket aces in an early position. I raised and some of the other people on the table called. When the flop came up with 2 numbers (can't remember exactly) and a king, I was still on a Pair of aces, so I raised to protect my pair, I was called through to the Turn and another king came up, as I was on 2 Pair, I raised again, and was reraised all in, I called but lost to 3 of a kind kings. Where did I go wrong? and should I have done anything differently?

Thanks in advance.

Just played a tournament on PartyPoker.

Out of 2910 entrants I came 101st. I've played tournaments quite often, but this is the best I've done so far. I think that I didn't develop my stack enough during the middle of the tourney, just after the break, so I was getting out muscled in pots, any tips on how to build my stack? At the break I was about 3.5 times the average stack, but then I didn't gain more chips very well, what hands should I play, and how much of my stack should I risk in one pot during the mid game?

Personally, if I win more than the target in a session, I treat is as just a "bonus", and for the purpose of the next session, I ignore it.

For example, let's say in Stage 1 ($7.50 -> $9.50) instead of winning just $2 profit, I win $6 (total of $$13.50). Despite the fact I have "extra", I would still go to Stage 2 with $7.50 and aim to get it to $9.50.

Unfortunately, I do not believe you really misplayed the hand. At the play money and micro-limit tables that (such as the 5c/10c tables), you will get people who will call you down with crap. I had pocket 10's earlier today (real money, 5c/10c), made a 4xBB raise and got one caller (not in either of the blinds). The flop came down K2T (I flopped a set) The board had two hearts on it (I held none) so I raised the size of the pot. He called. The turn brought another K, so I bet out and got called. The river was a "blank" so I pushed with my FH and got called. He turned over K2o!! (higher FH)

He cold-called my pre-flop raise with a K2o. At a higher-limit table, where the play is more "standard", I wouldn't have had to worry too much about a hand like that.

Now, that's not to say I did not make any mistakes; when he kept calling my large bets, I probably should have sat back and looked at the board a little more closely to see what he might be betting (I had to figure at least a K, which had me beat on the flop), but still he really shouldn't have been in there.

Anyway, that ended up being a bit longer than I intended, but it illustrates the sorts of plays you encounter at play, micro-limit, and low-limit tables 9though it gets better as you move up the limits...)
