Default Starting hand charts?

Hello,

I don't understand the starting hand charts for 100%
For example: I'm sitting in the position after the firts blind, so in early position.
My cards are AK. -> group B.
So, first position is after the blind, I look in the "UNRAISED" chart.
I find Group B is in "Opening Rase" and "Call a Reraise".
What does it mean?
So I Open a raise. (Unraise chart) Then, a player behind me re-raise it. Then what?
I've to see in the "Raised chart" for group B? Or in the same chart and "Call the raise"?

Another example:

My cards, AQ -> group D, middle position.
Unraised, group D, I open a raise... Then behind me a player re-raise.
When I look then in the Raised chart, D is not there. Then fold?
First raise and then fold or?

It is not clear to me.

Thanks!

You stick with the same Unraised chart - if you make a raise and then you are re-raised you need to look at the 2 lines below to see which action to take.

So you are looking at the line "Call a Reraise" and "Raise a Reraise"

In this situation you have AK in early position so we look where a group B hand is on either "Call a Reraise" or "Raise a Reraise" and it is infact on the "Call a Reraise" line for early position - so in this situation you would call the re-raise.

Yes you are correct - AQ is a group D hand and after you have raised and someone has re-raised then AQ isn't actually that strong, and it doesn't appear in either the "Call a Reraise" or "Raise a Reraise" lines so you would infact fold here.

Hope that helps.

No kidding. The waiting is the number one reason most novices (including me) lose their bankrolls. It took me some time and a lot of reading to get to my current level, which is novice (as opposed to total sucker).

Hi, I'm just trying to get my head around these charts too and have the following question.

Assume I get dealt AA pre-flop and I'm mid position and someone has raised before me.

I re-raise.

What do I do if I'm re-raised? Do I re-raise a second time?

with AA (best possible hand pre-flop) i always raise (or re-raise) pre-flop, no matter how high i have to raise or re-raise.

after a missed flop, it depends a lot more on the situation

statisticly, it's always the best thing to get as much money in as possible when you have a killer hand like AA AKs or KK (however i think AKs and AK are dangerous hands, cuz if you miss them, you have nothing)
