Default Poker Software - Odds Calculator,...

And another question: Do you use any Poker Software like Odds Calculator or similar stuff? Any recommandations? Thanks!

I don't currently use any odds calculator software - but in the past I have used Poker Office which I have to say was a great peice of software. I stopped using it because it didn't support the sites I moved over to play at - but I'm going to check out if they've updated their supported sites and if they have then I'll be using it again - it's great for tracking opponents play.

Not just for calculating odds/outs but it was amazing for keeping track of the type of player each person at the table was and providing stats on how they are acting - it also remembered players if you happened to sit at the same table as them another time.

Another peice of software I've heard alot about recently is Pokerbility which seems to be quite popular at the minute. I've never used it but from what I can gather it is a pure odds calculator and doesn't provide any information / stats on your opponents.

Have you ever used a bot (I think that's what it's called) to play for you or help you play? Would you? I've heard about them elsewhere, but I haven't tried them. Now that I can't play poker for real money I guess a bot would be useless.

Yup bots are still pretty much a waste of time.

You have to train / re-code them for 100's or even 1000's of hours to even get them slightly competent, and even then I'm not sure I would trust them to play with my bankroll.

Oh geeze. I didn't even think of that. And who has that kind of time? I'd rather take my chances at winning or losing my bankroll on my own. Thank you very much. Well, now I have your helpful articles, Professor.

Not only that but I am sure the sites have anticipated this and have ways to corrupt or combat the bots.

I am going to have to check out that software. I doubt if I will ever get to use it but it does seem interesting. I never new about the bots. I can see how they would be a waste.

Back when I could bet without going to jail I thought about using a bot. I figured it would be too much hassle. I'm glad I didn't bother with it.

Well now I know a bot is a complete waste of time. But what is a bot? What does it do? Does it play the hands for you?
