Just wanted to say thank you, Prof.
I have been playing online for about 10 months and although I have done a bit of reading and put in a few hundred hours, my performance is patchy. I found this site yesterday and read through all of the cash game strategy. Today I started working through it in practice and while it really hurt to see that some of those marginal hands that I made myself fold would have hit, I also realised how many of them didn't. My initial $20 stake has already increased to $46.22 after only about 2 1/2 hours play (and I took a few bad beats too) and I look forwards to continuing to put your strategy into practice. You are brilliant! One thing I have noticed is that there seem to be more fish around earlier in the day and more experienced players later...am I right? |

Congratulations Kat - you seem to be grasping the idea of the strategy taught in the course.
Keep it going and you'll soon be at the $1,000 target bankroll of the challenge. It is poker at the end of the day so I'm sure there will be some bad patches to come but keep the faith and you'll be a winner in the long run. With regards to the time of day that fish play I don't think there is a regular pattern it depends on so many factors like the time of the week / year, the weather (keeping people indoors playing poker) etc etc.
