I think you acted correctly here - you were just unlucky to find him with one of the 2 hands that are ahead of you.

If you look at it in terms of the blinds then you only had about 6 rounds of blinds left - which isn't alot - so you wouldn't of really been able to sit there hoping to scrape into the money. So at some point you were going to have to make a move and this was a pretty good opportunity.

QQ in late position against one raiser in Mid position who was loose-aggressive seems like a good opportunity.

I guess you could of just called the raise and then you maybe could of got away from the hand if an Ace or King came on the flop - but I don't disagree with re-raising all in here as he may well have laid it down if he only had AQ or KQ or similar.

Unlucky.

Just unlucky, you've got less than 10xBB so should be looking to push in on the steal if given the chance or get your chips in with a hand like this. Theres 2 hands that have you in bad shape and one thats a race, imo there's no chance you should be folding here. Calling is also terrible i think as you are calling off half your stack to fold if a Ace or King hits, he may not of even had one but woulda prob put out a C-bet had they hit.

I know it hurts to hear this but That's Poker!!! Plain and simple. You definitely did the right thing but ran into a monster and got no help from the board. This is one of those hands that send you away talking to yourself but the best thing you can tell yourself is you played well and did your best. Hopefully that will keep you off tilt.

Thank you Professor I feel very honoured that you would think to nominate me. If I should be elected I will definitely take that seat.

It was a good move - just bad luck timing for someone else to have a bigger monster. They say Holdem is 15% skill and 85% luck. I dunno if that's an accurate percentage but I'll bet it's an easy 50/50. You can't win without luck - and sometimes the other guy is gonna get the luck when you least need him to.Don't beat yourself up.

Howard Lederer put it best, he said "I don't call it bad play when I do the right thing and lose. At the end of the day - even if I didn't win but I played all my hands right, then it's still a good day of poker"

Yep in the heat of the bad beat, even though you played it well and the cards were just against you, you do have to remember all the times you have done the same thing to someone else and felt good about it.

I find most people who cry over the bad beat are the same people who laugh when they give one. It's call tit for tat. For every bad beat you receive you probably give 2 to others.

It would be interesting for you to keep track and if what I say proves true the next time it happens look back at how much you made by doing the exact same riverrat play and smile
