Default Blackjack players out there?

Although I slowly getting the hang of playing poker I love to play blackjack as well. I have been luckly enough to win a little at the casinos but not as much as a friend of mine. He cleared a couple hundred one night. Does anyone else like to play blackjack?

I like playing black jack at private events like weddings or community events with casinos sections. It's more fun when you play people you know. Online blackjack can be fun but not nearly as addicting as roulette.

I like playing blackjack live and online. I am horrible at roulette. I can't ever pick a winning number and if I do it is always the wrong color. Maybe I should start the opposite of what I guess. LOL

Blackjack at weddings? What kind of wedding has blackjack? I can see a community event having a casino section, if that's the event. But a wedding?

I haven't played blackjack in a long time. I wonder how rusty I am.

I haven't played blackjack in a while. I have some relatives down the south that I help out and work as a dealer for when I have time. It is the best showdown game to play.

Ok so I guess I am the oddball here but I am somewhat familiar with black jack. I get the concept that it is just 21 but is there any strategy to it at all?

Honestly, I don't have much of a strategy. I know what numbers the dealer can hit on. Uusually a dealer will stand at 17 or continue to hit until he reaches 17 or more. Anything over 21 and ofcourse he goes bust.

The only variation is if a dealer is allowed to hit on a soft 17. A soft 17 is something like a Ace and a 7 where there are two possible values (7 or 17).

I know there's a strategy to it. But I think there's a lot of luck involved too. And contrary to popular belief, card counting is not illegal. You may be banned from casinos, but that's just because the casinos don't like ceding the advantage to the player.

Blackjack is one of my favorite B&M casino games. I don't play it online much but live it's what I play most. I suppose part of that is that I don't play cash poker games, only tournaments and they are scheduled but the BJ tables are always open. I have played a few other card games live - but those I'm not as familiar with and live minumum bets are usually $5 a hand so it can be an expensive learning experience. I think that's where online casinos can be good, you can find some that cost as little as 10 cents per hand so you get to play longer and learn more without going broke.
