Default How many games

How many different poker games are there? I've heard so many names just on this site. I know there's draw poker and stud poker and holdem. I've heard other names, although I don't know anything about those games.

I think if you continue to dig around you would continue to keep discovering more and more obsure forms of poker.

Certainly the H.O.R.S.E mix form of poker is becoming more and more popular nowadays and sites like Pokerstars and Full Tilt are running more and more HORSE events.

I wouldn't be surprised to see other forms of poker come more to the forefront over the next few years.

I can imagine that the poker enthusiasts keep coming up with new ways to make the game interesting. I need to look into what H.O.R.S.E. is. I haven't heard the term outside of this site.

HORSE is just a mixed game - so the game you play rotates around 5 different forms of poker.

The game usualy changes each time the dealer button rotates around the table, or some other pre-determined time.

Hold'em
Omaha
Razz
Stud
Seven Card Stud Eight or Higher

Well now that sounds like it would be interesting and fun. You could play for a long time and it's always new and different and interesting. Is HORSE more of a casual game than a formal casino type game?

Thanks for spelling that out. I had often wondered what HORSE was anyway. It sounds like it would be fun but I haven't learned how to play razz yet.

I haven't learned Razz yet either but I want to. What sites can us poor beleagered US players go to, where it's offered? I've played all the others, and a lot of the poplular variants that people throw out at home games - stuff like Pineapple and Crazy Pineapple, Chicago and the usual wierd wild card stuff. There are hundreds - every home game always has one or two and many seem to be regional. But I never even heard of Razz until I got online and I still haven't found a place to play it.
