hey
just wanna make sure i made good call there (except pre flop...lol...tight table so played bit loosen) suspected worst scenario there that both have hit set still have to call $8 into $34.50 and counting that on the turn will have to call $13 into $60 which gives me right odds.....well at least i think....

I think you have already pointed out about the call being very loose before the flop so you already know that.

Apart from that in terms of pure odds you probably had the odds on the flop to carry on and you almost had the odds on the river (just slightly short of the 5-1 you needed)

So in terms of the odds you probably wern't "incorrect" in your plays here.

However when I read through the hand histories these are some of the things I would have been thinking about:
  1. Flush - on the flop there were already two spades out there and with so many opponents there was a good chance someone was chasing the flush, so that potentially cuts your outs down to six for the straight which then cuts your odds.
  2. K-J - With the amount of money flying into the pot I would be seriously considering the fact that someone already had the straight with K-J in which case you are putting alot of money in to either draw to the lower straight and lose or hit the King and split the pot.
  3. % of your stack - I'm not sure what your bankroll is like etc but you were entering a hand there and letting it develop into a big pot which was a big % of your stack - all this on a draw - although this isn't incorrect sometimes I will lay down a drawing hand even if it is the correct play percentage wise as I don't want to jepodise my stack at that point. (not always - but still a consideration whether you want to play a big pot at that stage of the game.)

Those are just some of the considerations that popped into my head as I read the hand history.

But I think there is arguments boths ways for the way you played this hand.
