Hi Guys!!!
I'm currently planning a my vacation.I'm headed for the big LV!!!Las Vegas.I was invited to join my friend there with his older brother. All three of us are big poker fans.I have only played online poker. But I think I have what it takes to show Las Vegas players a thing or 2 ;)
Have any of you ever been? What cool things are there to see?Have any of you ever played at the tables there?Any handy pointers?
Don't be shy guys,I'm open to all suggestions!!!

Hi Bran,

You won't be short of things to do in Vegas.

You'll find Poker in pretty much any of the casinos and there are many tournaments starting each hour in Vegas.

If your poker-celeb hunting then the Bellagio is the place to go, where the big game goes on and you will be almost guaranteed to bump into a poker-celeb.

You will find whatever your looking for either low / high stakes tournaments or cash games.

Other things non-poker related that I would recommend you do is, make sure you go to the old part of Vegas - Freemont street - and see the light show and the old famous casinos like the Golden Nugget and Binions Horseshoe.

Also I have been on a helicopter trip from Vegas over the Grand Canyon which was pretty unique but not cheap.

And I hope you like your food - the buffets in Vegas are quite an experience. One that sticks in my mind was the buffet at the Rio, which had food from all around the world and was pretty good.

Enjoy!

Hi Bran!!!
Considering you've only ever played online,I would set aside a certain amount of money for each day that you are there, and DO NOT EXCEED that amount!!!!!
I play online too,but have played Vegas live, and believe me,there is no comparison.
Visit the Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam.And dont forget to go see the free shows. They're well cool!!!!
Good Luck and let us know how you got on!!!!
