Well I moved from the .04 table to the .10/.20 tables. The first thing I had to get used to was the larger chip size. I am used to playing with 4.00 in front of me and now everyone has 30.00 plus. The chip leader had 102.00 and was intimidating. My first hand I have pocket AK suited and he goes all in 102.00,
naturally I folded. I don't get any cards higher then K9 for about 20 minutes so I get impatient and bet junk and lose 20.00 in the next half hour. I take a break and go back to the strategy and work my way from 15.00 to 50.00. I finally call the chip leader on some hands and he goes way down to 20.00 So Friday after six hours of play I have net profit of 51.00 On Saturday I play for five hours and get some very bad beats and end up losing 12.00, but not too bad for playing a long time (even 1.5 hrs at a .25/.50 table). On Sunday I end up with 16.00 profit. So for the weekend I made net profit of 55.00 and getting more experience playing with higher limits. The main thing is I need to be patient and/or change tables when all I get is junk. The other observation is I tend to lose more hands at the .04 tables because players will call .16 (4 times the blind) without blinking and they end up sucking out. At .20 they will fold marginal hands instead of calling .80 Anyhow, thanks again Professor and I hope it continues to go well. |

Awesome to hear!
You will find that as you move up the stakes you will get alot more respect for your actions such as your pre-flop raises mainly because it's not such a trivial amount any more. Keep it up!
