Default When is it enough

Okay you have just sat down at a cash table and you put your chips in front of you. Do you have a plan in mind as to when it will be time to say Enough is Enough.

Whether you are winning, or heaven forbid, you are losing you should have a plan in mind as to when you will stand up and leave. It can be either a specific time like say 2 - 3 hours of playing or it can be when I have doubled my stake at this table or when I have lost 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 or all of my table stake.

It is very important that you put a checkpoint on yourself so that you won't go up and then way down and then have to leave cause you have run out of money, even though you have dipped into your wallet 3 times you still can't get back up.

Think about it. Myself, online I start with X dollars, when I either double it or it is gone, I leave. In a B&M I take X dollars with me and set myself a time limit. When that time is up or I'm broke I leave the table, go get something to eat and then decide do I really want to go back or will I just mess with the slots for a while and then go home.

Whenever I am going to do any playing or gambling that isn't a tournament I always decide how much I am willing to lose and in general I just hope to make it last as long as possible. I don't expect to win that way I'm not disappointed if I don't. I usually allow myself a couple hours if I'm at a casino and then if I'm winning I just wait til it starts to turn and that's when it's time to go get something to eat.

Online I try to only play a couple hours and then it's time to go. Same limits apply to the amounts of money I take to the table.

I usually know ahead of time how much I am willing to lose. When I am going to play at casinos or at a home game I only take what I am going to spend. It is too easy at the casinos to run to the atm. Usually if I am having a bad night and losing I will stop while I still have some cash left.

Okay when I go to a casino I take with me $200.00 plus I always carry around $200.00 with me tuck in a corner of my wallet for mad money.

So when I sit down my intention is to only play the original $200.00 and most times I walk away a winner whether it be for $50.00 or $500.00 it doesn't matter. I'm there for only a certain period of time because I go up with a bus tour.

However, having said that I have lost the original $200.00 fairly quickly so what I normally do is buy another $100.00 of chips, go for lunch and then come back to a better table. I have usually either broke even or come out a winner.

Only once did I ever go into the 2nd $100.00 of the stash and when I left I think I was down about $70.00 which after the day I had was really good. It felt like I had broken even.

I usually take less than that with me when I go to the casino. I carry roughly a little over $100 but do have a backup debit or credit card if I just need extra. If I run through that much I will stop and take a break. I try not to keep going at one table if I am losing.
