Default Where will you be next year?

Where do you see yourself next year? Do you see yourself still playing in the same games you play in today or will you be putting out more money to play higher stakes.

Do you see yourself still playing the same or do you think you can and will improve your game for the better?

Do you even see yourself playing in a year as much as you do today or do you think you will slow down a bit and go out and enjoy the outside world more?

Myself, I see myself roughly about the same as I am today, just playing for the fun of the game. I have been playing poker for about 40 years and playing online now for about 6 years and the first couple of years online were about learning who the people were, how they played and how I could make the most with what I had.

I decided a long time ago that poker would never be the most important thing in my life but that it would definitely remain a part of my life. That's why I like to play for the fun of the game. Mind you the thrill of the win also helps keep my interest as well.

Since it is more of a hobby to me I don't see it changing too much. The usual home games and the occasional casino trips.

I don't see myself changing my patterns too much. I do hope to improve my game and move up a little bit in the stakes I play. But it's still just a hobby so it has to be self supporting. I would dearly love to qualify for a major tournament but I am realistic about the slim odds of that happening - especially with the current state of affairs in the US.

Day-to-Day I will probably be playing the same stakes.

However I would like to play in more of the bigger tournament events. I've played in some of them this year such as some events in the Pokerstars WCOOP and some other big $million+ tournaments, but I would like to play in more next year.

I used to think that I would love to become a professional player but the more that I'm around them and watch them I have totally changed my mind.

If you consider how many poker players there are in the world today and then try to name the top 25 professionals, or even 25 professionals, without looking it up in a book I will bet that most of you can't do it.

There are a lot of 1 hit wonders out there today who catch it lucky and make a name for themselves once but how many of them come back and do it again and again.

I just don't think I'm up to spending many years working my way to the top and then struggling to stay there. I'm quite happy watching others do it.

Next year I don't see much of a change. Actually with the way things are going now I might actually be playing a lot less than I do now. I wouldn't consider going pro. I don't have to time or the dedication to even attempt it.
