I have to agree here. A lot of it is through trial and error. Like Miss Chrissy said you can read all you want but doing it is a whole other matter. You can't consult the book when you are playing live.

Oh wouldn't that be funny. "Excuse me, please. Can you hold on a minute? I have to look this up in my poker guide to see what to do next." LOL!

What about to learn playing Holdem Poker by playing with not real money?

I heard it is not good, because you would take more risk and play more hands. So you lose when you start to play real money.
But I think if you start to play from beginning with the real money you can only lose your money. Then you don't have the experience the play

The only use for Play money games is to learn the rules of Poker and get used to how things work / get used to a new poker sites software.

In terms of practising a strategy - it is useless - as people play like maniacs.
