I really appreciate all that all of you are doing to help me understand this. How can the cheaters possibly get hold of a deck in order to mark it at in any way, shape, or form? Aren't those things kept sacred? How does it help them cheat if only the first one or two cards are marked? How does it help stop them if the first two cards are burned? How does burning cards affect the odds of the game?
Card counting isn't cheating so what's the difference on that end?
