I think it's a lot tougher to play online. You're looking at som many more cards on the table trying to calculate what your chances are and you are under the clock all the time. So in person it has to be easier since you'd have the time to think it all out. I know when I started I was just looking for the obvious things that could beat me - and so of course I missed a lot of the things that are not so obvious but still beat me. Like any oither game it just takes time to learn. I'd have to say though that I think if you get good online you'll be really good in person.
